Troop 83 scouts did a great job during camp and placed 2nd for Superior Troop. Nathan and Miles successfully completed the Nighthawk program, earning their Tenderfoot and 2nd Class ranks. A total of 40 rank advancements and merit badges were earned by the scouts during the week.

Troop 83 scouts did a great job during camp and won the Squire's Challenge on Wednesday evening. The members of the Hunter Patrol all succeeded in earning their Tenderfoot and Second Class ranks. A total of 40 rank advancements and merit badges were earned by the scouts during the week.

Troop 83 scouts did a great job keeping their campsite tidy and participating in camp-wide events. The highlight of the trip was providing Boards of Review for 31 ranks and merit badges. All campers in attendence on Friday night were able to earn a rank or merit badge.

Thanks to Mrs. Crane, Mr. Sullivan and Mr. Bryant for providing leadership during camp. These leaders earned the Scoutmaster Merit Badge in recognition of their accomplishments during the week. Mr. Sullivan completed the Mile Swim and Mr. Bryant was an instructor for the Nighthawks. Mrs. Crane completed New Leader Essential and Trek-On Safely training. All leaders completed Climb On Safely certification.

Scouts from Troop 83 worked hard to bring home the Superior Troop Ribbon. This was awarded to the top 3 troops in camp. Scouts showed a great amount of dedication and teamwork to earn this recognition.

Thanks to Rev. Hite, Mr. Sullivan and Mr. Jones for providing leadership during camp. These leaders earned BSA Lifeguard, First Aid & CPR certification during camp. They also earned the Scoutmaster Merit Badge for a week of hard work.

The following boys attended summer camp at Camp Barnhardt from June 15th to June 21st, 2003. the week with the highest recorded rainfall in camp history (15 inches in one week). In spite of the weather, the scouts received the Superior Troop Award for maintaining high standards of camp cleanliness, completing a service project, conducting a retreat of colors, and participating in all camp formations.
