Troop 83 Sponsoring Wednesday Night Dinner Fundraiser at Rocky River Presbyterian Church The Assistant Scoutmasters are preparing a great spaghetti dinner at the Rocky River Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall. Please plan to stop by at 6 pm this Wednesday to show your support for the Troop and to have a great meal. The cost is $4 per person with a maximum of $12 for the whole family. Scouts will have an opportunity to sign-up your family tomorrow night at the Scout meeting. We will also need a few Scouts to help clean up. Please stop by and eat with us.
Scout Sunday – February 13, 2011 The Scout Sunday service will be held on Sunday, February 13th at 11 am at Rocky River Presbyterian Church. We encourage each of you to attend this service. Dr. Kyle Hite, Rocky River Presbyterian Church pastor and Troop 83 Chaplain, will lead the service. Several of the Scouts will be asked to participate in the service. This is our opportunity each year to thank the Rocky River Presbyterian Church membership for their support of Troop 83. Scouts will have an opportunity to sign-up your family for Scout Sunday at the meeting tomorrow night. Please plan to attend.
Troop 83 Court of Honor Date Changed Again
Troop 83 will hold their next Court of Honor to recognize Scouts who have advanced in rank and who have earned merit badges on Tuesday, March 15th. We are delaying the Court of Honor with hopes of holding it at the Outdoor Amphitheatre. Daylight Savings Time begins March 13th.
Troop 83 Camping Trip – February 19-20
Troop 83 will be camping at the hut camping area. We will camp on Saturday and Sunday. We will be working on rank advancement, cleaning up the hut, camping area and amphitheatre. Please encourage your Scout to sign up.
Troop 83 Summer Camp
Troop 83 summer camp is fast approaching. We will departing for Camp Barnhardt on Sunday, July 10th and returning on Saturday, July 16th. The summer camp fee this year is $190. A deposit for each Scout is due by March 31st. We will begin signing up Scouts for summer the first week of March.
