Andrew Perrin installed a computer network in the scout hut for his Star project on Friday, November 10th. Pizza and drinks were provided for
scouts and leaders, followed by network set-up and participation in the requirements for the Computer Merit Badge.

| Lance Hunter organized Troop 83's service project in support of the American Diabetes Walk. Lance was responsible for handing out 800 goodie bags. He assembled a team of scouts to fill the bags and give them to walk participants. Lance's team also helped with the setup and clean-up of the activity.Great project, Lance!!!! |

| Saturday, October 14th, Stephen Jones and Michael Deaton completed their Life Service projects. Stephen's team built a fire escape for the 2nd floor of the scout hut. Michael and his team refurbished the bridge that leads to the camping area. Both scouts would like to thank Mr. McCachren for helping them prepare and execute their projects. Thanks Guys for helping with much needed maintenance!!!! |
| Troop 83 visited Ocean Isle Beach, NC the weekend of September 30th to help with the annual Trash Bash weekend. Scouts spend several hours picking up trash along island highways and in vacant lots. Thanks scouts for your time and efforts!!!! |

Michael Settle has become Troop 83's newest Eagle Scout, earning his Eagle in September. Michael's project was the construction of a new gate for the athletic field of Rocky River Presbyterian Church, on Saturday, September 2nd. Michael designed and built a gate to control access to church property and provide greater security for church vehicles. Thanks for the gate, Michael!!!! |
| Patrick McCachren passed his board to become an Eagle Scout in July. Patrick's Eagle Project was to build 8 new park benches for Rocky River Presbyterian Church, our sponsoring organization. Patrick successfully completed his district board in July. Patrick will be leaving for NC State in August and will receive his Eagle Award during a church service in November. Outstanding, Patrick!!!! |

| Adam Heim of Alpha Patrol would like to thank the scouts and leaders that assisted him with his Life project. Adam conducted a drive for a local food pantry on Saturday, May 26th and Sunday, May 27th, at Bloom in Harrisburg. Adam's efforts help collect over 350 lbs of food, plus provided a much needed cash contribution to the food pantry. Adam, Great Job!!!! |
